Oh, what fun we had on Sunday at the LOUISE GREEN hat studio with the book signing for Ari Seth Cohen's most recent book Advanced Style Older & Wiser.  With well over 100 stylish Angelenos in attendance, all enjoyed the wine, hats, books & meeting other creative souls!

Author, film-maker, blogger & photographer Ari Seth Cohen created Advanced Style, a project devoted “to capturing the sartorial savvy of the senior set.”   He says, “I feature people who live full creative lives. They live life to the fullest, age gracefully and continue to grow and challenge themselves.”  In his books, photographs & film, Ari documents & celebrates the wisdom & creativity of older people.  "Who truly catches my eye are those whose artful and creative dressing is a reflection of their indomitable spirits and the refusal to become invisible."

Shonda Rhimes gave Ellen a gift of an original Olivia Pope white hat worn by Kerry Washington on the 2013 Scandal episode, White Hat’s Off.  The hat, designed by Louise Green, is our Danny in winter white velour with a narrow velvet band and beaded appliqué.    Shonda Rhimes, creator, writer &  producer of the hit TV show Scandal appeared on the Ellen Degeneres Show this week.                                                            See the Danny in winter white on our website.                                   Update:  Four days later on the Ellen Show, Kerry Washington says that one of the few White Hats that we made for the show is now in the Smithsonian.
