Louise Green can top a head in so many ways. Her fedoras are as smashing as her fascinators, her accent materials of choice — from flowers to feathers to crystals — always please and her color palette is as rich as a master’s paint box. This Westsider, born and bred in Britain, has been coming up with smashing styles in Los Angeles since 1987, working up to making her sprawling hat factory a highly successful, high-end operation that is arguably one of the tops in the nation.

Louise Green

Louise Green’s name is synonymous with hats, and not just what they are wearing on the runways. Louise Green is an inspiration and houses thousands of styles for women and men in her 9,000-square-foot warehouse and factory. Green’s select clientele (including a long list of movie stars and celebrities) has visited her to be fitted with that perfect hat. Her creations include couture ladies hats, contemporary hats, cloches, fedoras, pillbox hats a la Jackie O, berets, church hats, straw hats, fascinators and headpieces that will wow at the Kentucky Derby and Royal Ascot.

Collen Monroe created Costume Cafe, a series of podcasts that spotlight the people and craft of costume design.  Louise Green was interviewed last year in a 45 minute podcast exploring the art of millinery and Louise's personal story.  Download & enjoy the podcast!

Louise Green had the pleasure of working with the costume designer and her team in creating the Birdcage Top Hat worn by Taylor Swift.

Another wedding with the amazing David Tutera!  We recently created two fantastic hats for David’s new show on WEtv David Tutera: Unveiled.  The episode is called Wonderland Wedding. Inspired by the bride Sara's vivid imagination, the hat pictured above is a custom Victorian Rider in black. This wild & wacky wedding aired recently on WEtv.

Kerry Washington as Olivia Pope in the hit TV show Scandal in Louise Green hat.  In the appropriately named episode, White Hat’s Off, Kerry is wearing a Danny in winter white velour with narrow velvet band and beaded appliqué.
